QC Basic Software

The QC Basic Software is available in two version for different applications. The default version provides the most frequently required measurements for fast electro-acoustic QC tests based on combined Sound Pressure and Impedance task: 

• Frequency response
• THD, 2nd-5th harmonic
• Impulsive Distortion (Rub&Buzz, loose particles)
• Polarity
• Level
• Impedance vs. frequency
• Re, fs, Qts

The QC Basic (Special Application) software in contrast is focusing on general transfer function, noise and vibration testing based on Spectrum Analysis (SAN) task.

The following features are provided by both versions

• Algorithm based limit generation
• Application to speaker drivers or systems
• QC-Start program to manage tests and templates
• Extraction tool (db extract) to access single number values and curve data from stored result databases
• Barcode scanner interface
• Automatic power amplifier gain check
• Calibration power amplifier and microphones
• Configuration of operator rights
• Limit calibration (using “golden reference unit”)

The following restrictions apply compared to the QC Standard Version:

• The only available measurement task is the combined Sound Pressure and Impedance Task or Spectrum Analysis Task, respectively
• Only a limited selection of available add-on modules can be used
• Task sequences are supported only for up to 3 tasks (steps) 
• Sweep speed profiles are not available
• Statistical limit calculation is not available (restricted to one reference DUT)
• Automatic “golden unit” from a list of reference DUTs detection not available
• Production Noise Detection is not supported
